I've always had a very nice New Year Tree for every New Year season since I was boorn. Unfortunately I had to skip last year due to my relocation on December 18 and temporary housing situation. This year, I needed to make it up for myself.
All the usual stuff for Russian New Year table including Red Caviar and Olivie salad. Yes, the salad includes real nice meat and is shown on the picture without dressing. Some people get full with just this leaving no space for the hot meals :)
The final stage of hot meal cooking usualy takes place after the party has started. Hot meals are served about half an hour into the new year which makes it impossilbe to take pictures without disturbing guests. Therefore what you see here are pictures taken after the party of what't left.
Tea table is something that is planned but never really happen at the end of the party since everybody is full. It takes place the morning after.
The party is over, we enjoyed it a lot. As always I wasn't very precise in figuring out how much food to cook. In fact, it turned out I cooked for about 10 people, while only 4 showed up. So LOTS of food is left in my refrigirator. :(
