And here's what I first saw when I turned into a secondary road after driving I-95 across the state.

The first Maine scene
I was told that the state of Maine is a beautiful one but what I saw was beyond my expectations. Everything around reminded me of the best place on earth - my summer house located in Karelia, Russia. Everything from birch trees to small folowers spreaded on road shoulders.

The view of this forest and road was really amazing

Dryed branch and fresh pine tree
Going furhter was even more interesting. Unpaved roads were as pleasing to the eye as they could be and the mounting K. added more flavor to the picture.

Unpaved road and mountain view
Even a large pool of water next to the entrance of the Baxter State Park was very nice.

Shallow lake next to the Baxter state park entrance
In deeper forest the small flowers and grass reminded me Karelia sceens.
